Red Light District Amsterdam, Holland
The Red Light District in Amsterdam exists roughly
since 1200, but of course, on those times it wasn’t called like that. Today,
Warmoestraat is the most visited street on the old part of the town.

Usually a place for those tourists who want to see and
try new exotic things to do that only in a place like this could be found.
Some of the places to visit are the Moulin Rouge and
Casa Rosso that offer some adult-rated shows. However, prostitution and sex
shops are legal in Amsterdam.
For tourist with more “normal” ways to explore a
country the Red Light District also have local bars, but with the special
Holland touch of the totally controlled selling of Cannabis.
From brothels to sex shops to museums, the Red Light
District leaves nothing to the imagination. It is very likely that you will
have heard about this neighborhood and to be frank, everything you will have
heard is probably true, but to really put rumors to rest, you have got to check
it out for yourself. The Rossebuurt, as the locals know it, is unlike any other
place. Guaranteed.
Anyone can enter here, no restrictions of age,
nationality or gender. But you must be 15y/o+ to drink alcohol and 18y/o to
smoke Cannabis or to buy a prostitute.
Our plan to visit Amsterdam:
The planning of our trip to the city would start on
thinking from were are we going to take our flight, the Sky Harbor
International Airport in Phoenix, AZ could be a good option, because it is an
airport with a lot of destinations and with lower prices than the ones we could
find here in Obregón. We are going to arrive to the Amsterdam-Schiphol
International Airport, then we are going to rent a car, and finally go to the
hotel. It would be okay to get a good rest after a long plane trip all the way
down from Phoenix to Amsterdam. In the first morning we would like to explore
the surroundings of the hotel to know where we can locate useful places, such a
police department, paramedics or even a mini mart. We would like to go to more
interesting places on the following days, but the most important would be the
Red Light District. This place is a world-famous part of Amsterdam and also it
is located on one of the most antique places of the city, so we think it is
interesting, first of all we want to walk all over the place so we can see most
of the bars and cafes and choose one to drink something traditional of the
region such as a special beverage, or to try another traditional thing of
Holland, its local flora. As we know, Holland is well known for its controlled
selling of Cannabis, so as it’s legal in this place, we want to try it to know
why it is so special and famous. We also want to go to the several museums and
the historical places located in the Red Light District, because it is not only
bars and prostitution, also it is one of the oldest part of the city so it has
several historical parts that can be very interesting, in our stance there we
want to go to those parts, as bars and cafes as historical parts and explore
the more we can on the Red Light District, finally after the stance expires, we
are going to take the same route flying to Phoenix and then in car to Obregon.
